Go Big!! Go Big!! Go BIG!!!
WOW, I had nothing... nadda, not a single thought..I went away and had dinner.. had a cup of coffee, talked to my daughter, read some more of my book... watched House, even had some jam on toast - and still nothing! I really thought I was going to have to go off topic this prompt but as I was browsing through some photos I thought about a trip Paul wants to take soon to Melbourne (about 5 hours from where we currently live) and to help me resolve my fear of heights! That's IT!! There is my BIG!!!!
Scared of Heights
Paul has it in his head that a good way to help me overcome my fear of heights is to take me up into the tallest building in Australia and let me go on the observation deck.
The observation deck at the Eureka Towers, Skydeck 88 features thirty different viewfinders that help you pinpoint many landmarks all around Melbourne. There is also a class cube called The Edge, which extends itself from the building to hang over the edge of the tower about 3m, or 10 feet. The glass is opaque when you enter, then when the cube has reached full extention the glass becomes clear.
Um? I think I’ll leave that one to Paul alone.
I’m pretty sure he’ll have a blast, but I just know I’ll have a panic attack and freak the heck out! Best not when your 300m, or 984ft above the ground in a clear glass box!

LO complete, thanks to Google and Wikipedia.

I went up in the tallest building in Toronto (well it was back in 1995 anyway) and way way up there they had a section of floor that was glass. People were standing on it, jumping on it and I couldn't even stand at the edge of the glass and look down. So a glass cube would definitely be out. I also love the idea of the glass walkway they have over the Grand Canyon (it is a stunning place to visit) but no way in hell would you get me to walk on it!
ReplyDeleteWow...I am so lazy!! When I see how you meet these challenges I almost feel like applauding...Especially for this one. Well done for not going off topic!! Oh, and "good luck" overcoming your fear.
